Sprianthes romanzoffiana, Irish Lady’s Tresses, from Lough Allen, NW Ireland
This is one of the best Specimens seen in 2014. Improving technology is enabling us to produce every better Images. This photograph is taken with Nikon’s new D3300 from the lower end of their DSLR range and with a basic kit lens and macro adaptor enabling shooting from close up to the plant. We love the detail shown and the depth of focus this technique allows with all parts of the plant from front to back being reasonably sharp.
